Priddy Good Food is a no-nonsense café and breakfast spot tucked just outside the village of Priddy, set within a working farm environment. This isn't a polished city café with trendy extras; it’s where local ingredients and straightforward cooking take center stage, drawing in both locals and visitors looking for an honest, hearty start to their day.

The atmosphere here feels familiar and welcoming, with a warmth that comes from both the friendly staff and the simplicity of the setting. You’re not dining amid sleek décor or pretentious flourishes, but rather in a space that feels like a farmer’s lean-to — practical and homely. It’s the kind of place where the food talks for itself. The full English breakfasts are a highlight and attract a steady weekend crowd, so booking ahead is wise if you want to avoid a wait.

Priddy Good Food’s menu keeps things uncomplicated, reflecting the quality of the locally sourced produce it champions. Vegetarians and meat eaters alike find satisfying options here, with dishes emphasizing fresh farm flavours over fancy additions. House-made pies from their on-site kitchen stand out as popular take-home treats, along with cured meats from the café’s own counter, making it a spot not just to eat but also to stock up on local provisions.

This café suits early mornings and weekends best, especially for those passing through the Wells area or exploring the Mendip countryside. Dog owners will appreciate the laid-back vibe and the staff’s welcoming attitude toward pets. Whether you’re after a solid breakfast before a day’s hiking or a casual lunch enjoying straightforward farm fare, Priddy Good Food fits well into a local rhythm grounded in seasonality and substance.

Just on the outskirts of Priddy you will find this wonderful farm food cafe. All of their produce are locally sourced and boy can you tell. This place is surprisingly popular and if you don't want to wait for a seat, I would get there early or possibly book in advance and reserve your table. The menu here is quite simple but there's no need for flowers when you serve food as good as this. There is also a children's menu available and a good selection of teas and coffees. Recently they have upgraded their seating area and outside seating is now available and also a lounge-like seating area can be enjoyed. I also noticed that on their board and also on the menu they say that vegan vegetarian and gluten-free options are available. I don't usually give five stars to cafes and restaurants as there is always room for improvement, but quite frankly, this place absolutely got it perfect

Food in the cafe is excellent and fresh you can taste the difference. it is on a working farm but please do not let this out you off, when the owners have spoken to you and made you feel at home and serve you your food you will not regret it. There is also a shop which sells local produce and a meat counter. The pie’s they make on site and are amazing you have to try. We stock up and take some home with us each time we visit the area. The owners are really friendly and welcoming we holiday here once a year and no matter which part we are in we will make the drive to Priddy Farm.

This is a really great ‘old school’ full English. I absolutely loved it. My wife had the veggie sausages, as she doesn’t eat pork, and they were ace too! They were Moving Mountain. It’s like eating in the farmer’s lean to. No frills. No fancy sauces or chorizo sausage. Just excellent produce, well cooked. If you are going on the weekend, make sure to book. It’s super busy.

First class breakfast, expertly cooked and served. Friendly and homely atmosphere, nice and warm. Highly recommended and we will most certainly be returning. My only regret is that I did not photograph my excellent full English to share on here, I’ll do that next time.

Passing through to Cheddar in our camper, we looked for somewhere to stop for a good breakfast. Read the reviews of this place and are very glad we stopped off for a full freshly cooked breakfast. Very friendly staff, with both us and our Lab. Fab range of good quality food on offer, at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended Thanks very much. :-)

Priddy Good Food Farm Shop is a real gem! The produce is fresh, the hot food is delicious, and the service is quick and friendly — the staff are absolutely lovely. The shop itself is set in a beautiful spot with stunning views all around, and it’s close to footpaths that offer incredible walks. A perfect place to stop for great food and a warm welcome while enjoying the gorgeous surroundings. Highly recommend!
